An evaluation encompasses simply collecting information to make an informative recommendation on the best solution. An evaluation does not include making any changes or modifications and any sense. Evaluations are concise and straight to the point, usually never exceeding 30 minutes of the technicians time.
Usually given along with the free evaluation - when the best solution involves purchasing hardware, software, or other services the technician will provide his/her’s best advice on what to buy based on each customer specific needs and budget.
As the name implies this process simply involves carefully removing all internally accumulated dust and also included any other necessary cosmetic cleaning.
This flat-fee service includes performing common tweaks and maintenance on your computer that will result in a marginal performance boost.
This is base price for hardware installs and usually is not preemptively quoted due to the variety of work involved with hardware installs (i.e. installing driver software and verifying proper functionality and/or having to remove other parts to access desired part). The $30 typically will only cover 30min or less jobs, such as PCI/PCI-e devices, power supplies, and optical drives. Parts that require further troubleshooting or OS repairs/reinstalls are usually subject to the $50/hr miscellaneous rate (i.e. CPU’s, motherboards, and HDDs).
As the name implies this is to cover all uncommon and/or unique work that doesn’t comply to a set procedure, thus requiring more of the technicians experience and skillset to diagnose and solve the issue.
With all our backups or recoveries, we will backup up to 4.5GB of data to disc for no additional cost, $10 for each additional disc.
Our standard backup package includes backing up all data that is located within system default locations (i.e. “My Documents”, “My Pictures”, “My Music”).
Our custom backup includes backing up data that is not easily accessible or may require additional research or use of additional resources (i.e. lost or deleted files, database backups, application backups, etc.).
Our advanced data recovery involves recovering data from corrupted or damaged storage devices that are not accessible through conventional means.
This service involves formatting (erasing) the HDD and installing a fresh OS. This flat-fee service includes performing any necessary steps to fully satisfy the customer to fully utilize all the functions the system has to offer. This includes but not limited to the following:
This is the most intensive service offered utilizing the largest variety of resources, knowledge and skill sets offered by List I.T. Even so, the gained system performance and security will still usually fall short of the results of an OS reload and will only be done if an OS reload is not first ruled out. A malware removal will involve manually removing targeted software, running multiple scans with multiple antimalware software, installing and configuring preventative measures, and educating the user on some best practices on how to prevent malware. A malware removal will ONLY be suggested under the following conditions:

The technician will keep track of all time spent resolving the issue and/or fulfilling the customers requests, the technician will not track time spent “evaluating” as evaluations are a free services in-shop or on-site. The technician WILL track and bill for time spent waiting on the computer to perform various actions (i.e. downloads and various tasks that take extended amounts of time to complete) as this will require the technicians undivided attention that cannot otherwise be utilized. List I.T. does not charge for traveling to customers location within a 30 minute radius. For example if the expected travel time to the location is 45 minutes one way then the customer will be billed for a minimum of 30 minutes @ $0.60/minute (30 minutes extra travel time round-trip).

Unlike on-site labor, remote and/or phone labor can be accomplished by either remotely connecting to the customers computer and/or walking the customer through a solution over the phone. Another advantage of remote labor vs. on-site labor is that remote labor will only be billed for time actually spent interacting with the customer and/or computer. This is because the technicians time can be otherwise utilized during time lapse that does not require interaction with the system.
